Our School Council

Lead Teacher: Mrs Lucy Stimson

The school council, which meets regularly, is made up of democratically elected pupils for every class from Yr1 - Y6 and provides a voice for pupils to contribute to positive changes in the school. Involving pupils in real issues helps to develop important life skills. These can include positive mental health, emotional literacy, critical and moral reasoning, self esteem, self awareness and the sense of community.

Each year the Council updates the School Council Agreement. You can view this years agreement below.

We can all make a difference

All pupils have the chance to get involved. As well as regular class council meetings, where council members ask for class feedback and opinion, the School Council has a noticeboard which displays relevant information about our current focus. We also have class School Council suggestion boxes where children can post ideas about what they would like to be discussed in future meetings.
