Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School

Year 4

Welcome to Year 4!

Year 4 is an important year in the children's development.  During the year we will continue to build on previous skills and knowledge and continue to develop new and different learning.  Children will be encouraged to use the OLI Keys to Success to support them in their social, moral and academic development.

Throughout the year we will encourage children to become more independent, not only in their learning but personally and socially.

As children progress through their school life they are encouraged and expected to become good role models for the younger children in our school.  In year 4 we will expect children to accept additional responsibities and continue to display positive and appropriate behaviour.

Children will enjoy a broad curriculum with subjects.  We aspire to provide an academically vibrant year for the children, which they enjoy and take great satisfaction in achieving their learning goals.

They will continue to build upon musical developments from year 3, they will be learning how to play African drums
