Science

We have been learning all about plants. We walked around the school exploring all the different plants we could find.  We planted some potatoes. First we had to chit the potato tubers and next we planted them together. We each had a turn to put some soil on top. We learnt about the parts of plants, we now know that plants have roots to suck up the water from the soil. We also know that plants have leaves, stems and flowers. We will continue to watch our potatoes grow and we will remember to water them.

Snow day!!! We were very fortunate enough to have a lovely snow day. We watched the snow fall from inside the classroom then we put on the right clothes and wrapped up warm to experience it for ourselves. The children had lots of different things to say about the snow. It was very exciting!!

Here are a few things we said:

Hugo, "My gloves are now frozen."

Gabi, " I'm wearing my snow boots and snow clothes."

Leo, " We can make snowmen, I like them."
